What is Kodi? Kodi is a operating system the lets you add third party apps called addons. These addons give you the ability to stream movies, TV shows, and live sporting events straight to your device. You can add Kodi to almost any type of devices. You can also access your digital media location on your computer and watch it on your Kodi device. It will even create cover art and metadate automatically. 

How to Install Kodi on a FireStick or Fire TV

Follow the instructions for installing Kodi directly on your Firestick or Fire TV.

  1. Power on your FireStick  or Fire TV

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select System

  4. Select Developer Options

  5. Select Apps from Unknown Sources and turn ON & Select ADB Debugging& turn ON

  6. You will now see a warning message regarding unknown sources. Select OKyou can turn off unknown sources later but we need it on to install Kodi

  7. Go back to home screen and click the right button to access Search

  8. Type downloader and select it

  9. Select the Downloader application

  10. Select Get

  11. When the download has completed you will see a notification in bottom right saying it is ready to launch and with the Menu Icon and Launch Now. Press your menu icon to launch (the one with the 3 horizontal lines - if you miss that just launch it from Apps on your Home Page)

  12. You will now see the following screen. Select the URL section

  13. Type the following (this is the most stable and secure version) and select Next

  14. Select Download in the next screen

  15. The version of Kodi you chose will begin to download

  16. When the download completes you will see the following screen. Select Install

  17. When the installation is complete click Open

  18. The first run may take a short while but you should now see your Kodi home screen
